Knee injuries are one of the most common reasons patients walk into OS1. Whether you twisted your knee playing basketball, felt a pop during a run, or woke up with swelling and stiffness, our orthopedic specialists can evaluate your injury same day with on-site digital X-ray and Open MRI.
At OS1, we treat knee injuries without the long wait times or high expense of an ER or the weeks-long delay for a traditional, orthopedic specialist appointment. Walk in during clinic hours at any of our four locations in Hoover, Trussville, Madison, or Kennesaw and get answers the same day.
ACL, MCL, and LCL Sprains and Tears – Ligament injuries are among the most common knee problems we see, especially in athletes and weekend warriors. We provide clinical evaluation, MRI imaging, bracing, and rehabilitation planning. When surgery is needed, we coordinate referrals to trusted orthopedic surgeons.
Meniscus Tears – A torn meniscus often causes locking, catching, or giving way of the knee. Our team can diagnose meniscus injuries with a physical exam and confirm with MRI, then develop a treatment plan that may include bracing, physical therapy referrals, or surgical consultation.
Patellar Injuries – Kneecap dislocations, fractures, and patellar tendonitis are painful and limiting. We offer same-day imaging and stabilization so you can begin recovery immediately.
Knee Sprains and Strains – Not every knee injury requires surgery. Many sprains and strains respond well to rest, bracing, anti-inflammatory treatment, and guided rehabilitation. We help you understand the severity of your injury and build a recovery timeline.
Knee Osteoarthritis – Osteoarthritis is very common underlying pathology causing knee pain. It is often characterized as a gradual, insidious onset; however, it can also occur acutely or suddenly. Knee pain from arthritis includes mechanical symptoms such as popping, “grinding”, locking and catching. It is also often associated with swelling, limited range of motion (ROM), dull, achy, and tightness in your knee.
When you walk into OS1 with a knee injury, our providers will perform a thorough physical examination and order imaging as needed. Most patients receive digital X-rays during their visit, and if an MRI is required, we offer same-day or next-day availability with our on-site Open MRI – no separate imaging appointment needed.
Based on your diagnosis, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that may include bracing or DME (durable medical equipment), medication prescriptions, corticosteroid or PRP injections for pain and inflammation, physical therapy referrals, or surgical referral coordination when needed.
You should seek orthopedic care if your knee is visibly swollen or bruised, you heard a pop at the time of injury, you can’t bear weight or fully straighten your leg, pain has persisted for more than a few days without improvement, or your knee feels unstable or gives out. Don’t wait weeks for an appointment. Walk into any OS1 location for same-day evaluation and treatment.
At OS1 Orthopedic & Sports Injury Clinic, we provide expert, same-day orthopedic care for patients of all ages—without the long wait times or high costs of an emergency room visit. Whether you’ve suffered a sports injury, a workplace accident, or a flare-up of a chronic condition, our board-certified orthopedic specialists and highly trained medical team are here to help you recover quickly and safely.
