3. If the exam suggests a soft tissue injury such as an ACL or meniscus tear, your provider can order open MRI on site, typically within 24 to 48 hours rather than the weeks it commonly takes to get scheduled elsewhere.
4. Same-visit treatment: bracing, a knee immobilizer or crutches if needed, aspiration of a tense effusion, and injections where appropriate.
5. A written plan covering activity, rehab, and follow-up.
