Athletes of all ages need a current sports physical to participate in organized sports. At OS1, we provide same-day sports physicals without an appointment. Walk in during clinic hours and leave with your clearance form completed – no weeks-long wait for a primary care appointment.
For kids and young athletes, OS1 also provides the full scope of pediatric orthopedic care at every clinic, including sports physicals, fractures, sprains, and growth-plate injuries from age 2 and up.
Our sports physicals include a review of your medical history and any prior injuries, vital signs check (blood pressure, heart rate, vision), musculoskeletal examination assessing flexibility, strength, and joint stability, cardiovascular screening, and completion of your school or league’s required clearance form.
If our provider identifies a concern during the exam – such as a prior injury that hasn’t fully healed or a joint stability issue – we have on-site digital X-ray and Open MRI to evaluate further. This is a major advantage over primary care offices that would need to refer you elsewhere for imaging.
