We are looking for a full-time certified medical assistant for our Hoover location who is able to work 40 hours per week in a combination of Monday through Friday and some Saturdays and Sundays in an exciting, innovative, and busy sports medicine medical practice. The ideal candidate would be professional, energetic, driven, hardworking, a team player, self-starter and have a strong work ethic. Our primary tasks will involve assisting providers and patients, but you may also be called upon to help with administrative, business and other duties as needed. The position is
Payroll is biweekly and you will be paid on an hourly basis. We also offer a generous benefit package.

Responsibilities
- Take medical histories
- Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare patients for exams
- Assist the physician during exams and medical procedures
- Teach patients about medications, special diets, exercise plans and other medical lifestyle changes
- Occasionally perform other medical duties under the supervision of the doctor
- Clean wounds and change bandages
- Calm nervous patients that are injured or hurting
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and medical records are kept secure and confidential
- Answer telephones and help schedule patient appointments as needed
- Greet patients as they enter the clinic and escort them to the exam rooms
- Keep patient records current
- Enter patient medical information into computer programs
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Medical assistant certification
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, private practice preferred but not required
- Familiarity with HIPPA regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience interviewing patients and filling out charts
- Excellent bedside manner and ability to make patients feel at ease
- Ability to take instruction from a doctor
- Familiarity with medical charts and records
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, as well as medical billing software
- High attention to detail
- Appears friendly, reassuring and approachable to patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Able to stand during work shift

Your primary tasks will involve assisting patients with check-in and check-out processes as well as a variety of administrative, social media and other duties as needed. The position is 40 hours per week, with an option for paid overtime during infrequent busy periods. Payroll is biweekly and you will be paid on an hourly basis. We are looking for a full-time X-Ray Technologist in our Hoover location who is able to work four (4) 10 hour shifts during the week in an exciting, innovative, and busy sports medicine medical practice. The four days would primarily be Monday through Friday, however, there might be occasional weekend needs. The ideal candidate would be professional, energetic, driven, hardworking, a team player, self-starter and have a strong work ethic. Our primary tasks will involve performing outpatient orthopedic x-rays/images, but you may also be called upon to help with administrative, business and other duties as needed. The position will also be responsible for importing images, creating office notes and billings in EHR. This position will work four days per week. We are looking for someone with experience or a willingness to learn other modalities, such as MRI and Ultrasound.
Payroll is biweekly and you will be paid on an hourly basis.

- Answer imaging phone calls and help schedule patient appointments as needed
- Educate patients regarding procedure
- Provide copies of images to patients as requested
- Enter patient medical information into computer programs
- Confirm appropriate codes are used for billing
- Operate PACs system and ensure images are loaded appropriately
- Maintain Quantity and Quality control checks to assure X-Ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules and departmental policies
- Clean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed to equipment
- Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards
- Maintain Imaging Supplies
Requirements
- Associates Degree, Graduation from a Radiology Technician Program
- Two years of imaging experience, preferably in an orthopedic setting
- MRI experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with HIPPA regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical charts and records
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, as well as medical billing software
- High attention to detail
- Appears friendly, reassuring and approachable to patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Able to stand during work shift
- Develops and processes radiological images and examines the images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Delivers to physician for reading/interpretation images by using the Picture Archive Communications System (PACS) when applicable.
- Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and reports equipment malfunction to Radiology Manage or designee.
- Prepares copies of X-ray CD’S for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required.
- Logs radiological procedures completed.
- Processes charges and related paperwork using computer as directed.
- Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or supplies in the department.
- Compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Assist with the transportation of patients between the examination rooms and Radiology department.
- Assist with patient flow in the examination rooms as directed by a supervisor.
