Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) 

To be successful in this position, the Certified Medical Assistant must be cheerful, polite, tactful, and professional in appearance and manner at all times. The Medical Assistant’s primary tasks will involve assisting the provider in preparing and executing patient exams and procedures, assisting in documenting and updating patient records in Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Health Records System (EHRS), collaborating with appropriate parties to implement the patient’s treatment plan, and other clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology 
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting. 
  • Familiarity with HIPPA regulations 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Offices (Word, Outlook, Teams etc.) 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Appears friendly, reassuring and approachable to patients 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred: 

  • Familiarity with medical billing and insurances 
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, medical charts, and records 
  • Experience with Casting and Splinting 
  • Experience with insurance/ procedure authorizations 
  • OrthoTech certification or Orthopedic experience a plus 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Responsibilities: 

Clinical: 

  • Direct Patient Flow  
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments. 
  • Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare patients for exams. 
  • Assist the physician during exams and medical procedures. 
  • Teach patients about medications, special diets, exercise plans and other medical lifestyle changes as directed by the provider. 
  • Clean wounds and change bandages. 
  • Apply and remove casts, splints and braces. 
  • Occasionally perform other medical duties under the supervision of the doctor. 
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and medical records are kept secure and confidential. 

Administrative: 

  • Assist the Patient Care Representative in scheduling decisions. 
  • Answer patient questions via phone, email and at the time of visit in a compassionate, timely and professional manner 
  • Correspond with insurance to obtain the proper documentation/authorization for procedures and equipment. 
  • Gather and document clinical information from other current or historical records under the direction of the provider. 
  • Prepare electronic charts of upcoming new and established patients by entering all medical information relevant to the office visit, including patient history, symptoms and complaints. 
  • Maintain records using accurate spelling, correct grammar and completeness before the provider reviews and signs the note. 
  • Perform other duties that improve the efficiency of the provider such as assisting with medication reconciliation, documenting procedures, and providing communication assistance (message to other providers, scanning, printing or copying medical records). 
  • Managing exam room inventory 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. 
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures. 
  • Other administrative duties as needed.

Patient Care Representative

They will create an atmosphere that reflects the level of standards and care that patients can expect to receive from this practice. 

The Patient Care Representative’s primary responsibilities will involve assisting in patient registration, organizing, and optimizing the provider’s schedule, answering phones, documenting in Practice Management (PM) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, verifying insurances, collecting copayments, and other administrative duties as needed.

Responsibilities: 

Patient Registration: 

  • Greet patients as they enter the clinic.  
  • Provide necessary instructions and/or directions. 
  • Direct and coordinate patient registration. Update patient information, provide necessary forms for completion. 
  • Verify insurance and payment details and collect copays or fees for services rendered and any past due/current balances. 
  • Input patient data into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) 
  • Monitor patient flow 

 Scheduling: 

  • Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries timely and professionally. Distribute correspondence as needed. 
  • Organize and optimize the provider’s schedule according to scheduling policies. 

Administrative/Office Tasks: 

  • Scan and process faxes and route to intended recipient(s). 
  • Maintain a stocked, clean, and orderly waiting area. 
  • Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations. 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. 
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures. 
  • Other administrative duties as needed.

Registered Radiologic Technologist 

To be successful in this position, the Radiologic Technologist must be cheerful, polite, tactful, and professional in appearance and manner at all times. They will create an atmosphere that reflects the level of standards and care that patients can expect to receive from this practice.  

The Radiologic Technologist’s primary responsibilities will involve to compassionately and accurately explain to the patient the imaging procedure, calibrate and maintain radiology equipment, follow instructions from Providers regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging, correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position, follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding, keep good patient records and appropriately document imaging procedures in EHR and PACS.

  • License/Certification Requirements: American Board of Radiology Certification 
  • Education: Associate 
  • Current BLS  
  • 2 years of experience in Medical Imaging 
  • High School diploma

  • Open-Minded to the opportunity to learn new modalities (Diagnostic Ultrasound, MRI)

Responsibilities: 

  • Verify correct body part is examined in optimal position 
  • Educate patients regarding procedure 
  • Provide copies of images to patients as requested 
  • Operate PACs system and ensure images are loaded appropriately 
  • Maintain Quantity and Quality control checks to assure X-Ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules and departmental policies 
  • Clean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed to equipment 
  • Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards 
  • Maintain imaging supplies 
  • Ability to take radiological images and examine the images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion 
  • Deliver to physician for reading/interpretation images by using the Picture Archive Communications System (PACS) 
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and report equipment malfunction to Radiology Manager or designee 
  • Prepare copies of X-ray CD’S for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required 
  • Log radiological procedures completed 
  • Process charges and related paperwork using computer as directed 
  • Compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Assist with the transportation of patients between the examination rooms and Radiology department 
  • Assist with patient flow in the examination rooms as directed by a supervisor
